The Birds in Our Yard - Northern Mockingbird

I've posted several photos of Northern Mockingbirds on my blog in the past year. They are wonderfully photogenic and I never cease to enjoy their antics and their beautiful songs. Here's one landing on a privet hedge last week.

beautiful photos! I would do a bit of photo art with the first one..(boost the brightness and contrast basically) the high key background is perfect for a 'study'.. love these birds, and hope to get my fill when we head south :)

Love the first pic!

He looks kind of bedraggled, like maybe he just flew through a sprinkler!

cindy - Thanks for the advice. I've worked on the original, which has higher resolution. All good wishes on your journey south.

laurahinnj - This one flew out of the hanging dead fronds of the palm tree, so he was indeed a bit unkempt.

sonia - Good to hear from you! Thank you!
