I spent the following two evenings playing with the Nikon. I worked with several different settings.
I was able to stitch four pictures together for a panorama of my driveway. Museum turns off the flash for locations where you aren't allowed to use it. It did a great job on a Native American pot. Copy turned out black and white photos - it's supposed to be used for copying documents; it has full gray scale. Backlight is for backlit objects - just what you might imagine.
I also photographed a document at all thirteen available exposures (-2.0 to +2.0).
I'm not going to put in any photos. They weren't that interesting as photos, but they were very worthwhile as exercises.
