Turns tail – little white cotton ball – and runs

What a sweet creature, and a lovely poem. I love seeing bunnies. For some reason they always seem incredibly endearing.
endment, lene, RD - Thanks - it was a post-midnight post and I was really tired. I was trying to figure out how to explain the out-of-focus diagonals of the chain-link and the words just came.
Cottontails aren't really tiny - 13-17 inches long, 2-3 lbs., the ears are 3-4 inches in length. This one was under a mesquite and really well camouflaged. He was about 30 feet away from me.
Very cute! It looks like a young one.
The words just fit!
