Red-tailed Hawk in Flight

I was standing out in the backyard Friday afternoon, when I saw a falcon circling high in the sky. I just managed to capture its silhouette
when a larger bird entered the camera's field of view. A quick refocus and I was able to get this shot of a Red-Tailed Hawk carrying its prey.

These are magnificent birds. There are three that frequent our neighbourhood and I delight in seeing them soar in lazy circles higher and higher.

That's quite a photograph. The red-tailed hawk's wings are just beautiful. What timing.

What a great photo. Amazing. We also have the red tail hawks in the Atlanta area but I could never capture an inflight photo of one like you did.

On our recent trip south I couldn't help but notice lots of hawks around. That is a superb photo.
