Pam, what a charming image to wake up to! I'm working my way up through my bloglines subscriptions, starting at the bottom of the alphabet, so you're second in line! I've been away, so look forward to catching up with all that you've been doing.

This is yummy!
I have a difficult time choosing between a Broad-tailed Hummingbird and Parry's Penstemon - so great to have them together!

robin andrea, jimmy - thank you!

rain - ditto - I read your blog daily, but I'm not much of a commenter; I'm usually pretty quiet.

What a lovely shot. Love the combination here! Pretty penstamon.
Our ruby throated hummers arrived here in upstate NY a week ago. A little male let me get up close and personal for a photograph last Thursday. What a thrill! I haven't posted the photos of it yet. Your mockingbird post is wonderful! What fun it must've been to watch that encounter.

daniel - It's fun trying to spot hummingbirds on the wing. You do it very well, yourself.

jean - Not so much patience as good luck and a camera with quick response; these little birds come and go so quickly. I was very happy to get this photo.

taradharma - And I yours. Ivisited your area and walked on the UC-Santa Cruz campus (I believe that's where you are?)many years ago - so wonderful.

kerri - I'm so glad you visited my blog so I could discover yours! What beautiful country you live in and your garden is absolutely lovely.
