ilyllopus - I'm so glad you came to my web site, so I could discover yours, which is fascinating. I'm blocking out some reading time tomorrow night to look through your graphics and paintings and get to know H.o.p. a little better.
jimmy, laurhinnj - The bloom is Mexican Bird of Paradise. Next week I'll post a photo of one of our bushes so you can see. They are wonderful garden plants, take very little water, bloom all summer, then die back. Hummingbirds, butterflies and carpenter bees love them.
robin - a small tribute to a wonderful Internet presence. My world's riches increased tenfold when I found your blog.
