BC Road Trip - Our last morning - Osoyous

June 16 - We spent the last night of our road trip in Osoyous, at the south end of the Okanagan Valley. This was the view of Lake Osoyous from our motel balcony.
The next morning, I photographed a gull as it foraged on the beach.

Before leaving the area, we drove up the hill to the east. This view is looking north up the Okanagan Valley. We then drove west in search of fresh-picked cherries. We were directed to a fruit stand in the little town of Keremeos, where we bought cherries and strawberries. While we were there, we shopped at a hemp store. The owner carves mastodon ivory and had a mastodon tusk and also a mammoth tusk for sale.

The tusks were excavated by miners who found them in the perma-frost near Dawson City, Yukon.
