Farewell BC

June 27 - This will be my last post about our June 2006 visit to BC. It's taken me almost a month since we returned to Tucson to finish writing about our experiences. We had a fantastic time, filled with friendship and cultural riches. The scenery, flora and fauna of British Columbia and Alberta are without compare. Heartfelt thanks to our friends and all other Canadians who were so hospitable to us. We can't wait to return!

The crest of BC Ferries (a reminder that Queen Elizabeth II is Monarch, i.e., Head of State, of the Commonwealth Nation of Canada. "[T]he Monarch is advised solely by Canadian federal and provincial ministers. Effective with the Constitution Act, 1982, no British or other Realm government can advise the Monarch on any matters pertinent to Canada." When the movie was over, we were flying over heavy cloud cover just north of Phoenix.

I know you're sad to leave BC twice, first in June and now here, on your blog. It's been delightful seeing your photos of such an interesting and beautiful region.

As I have noted previously, I have really enjoyed your write-up of your BC and Alberta holiday. One day I hope to get over there myself ... See me day-dreaming!? :)
