New Hummingbirds in the Desert Springtime

These baby hummingbirds are in a nest in a friend's side yard in mid-town Tucson. She invited me to photograph the nest a couple of weeks ago. I took the photo from a fair distance away, because I didn't want to upset the mother. In fact, I didn't realize there were birds in the nest until I enlarged the photo. I didn't see the mother, but my friend believes she's either a Costa's or an Anna's Hummingbird. It's a beautiful nest. I love the decoration around it.

That's truly beautiful, pam. Hummingbird nests are very small. You did a great job focusing on these little ones. Wonderful.
