Another sunny day and very hot! I took both cameras to class, but decided I'd be brave and work with the new one. I'm so glad I did. Jay gave me all kinds of pointers and a challenge: to use the aperture and shutter speed settings, rather than the settings pre-programmed in the camera. Most of the photos I took were pretty awful. But two or three of them came out quite nicely. I've included a couple here that look somewhat jumbled, but I like the play of shadow and light.
Look how the butterfly photo above enlarged (PaintShop Pro - crop and resize).
I retired from the University of Arizona, where I coordinated distance learning. New enthusiasms include learning about digital photography and photoprocessing, archaeology, theatre, and observing the natural world around me.
