Hi Pam, what an amazing photo! Beautiful! Stunning! Well done! Just now I tried to photograph a little bird grassing in my garden but it don't work. I think it's very difficult to photograph birds. They are very elusive and don't still one single moment. A Brazilian writer said some day that birds are very stressful creature because they jump around all the time and they are always rushing. Have a nice weekend!
deb- I'm seeing more and more little ones this year. Today there were excited little house finches on the wall waiting for their mums and dads to bring them food.
sonia - Lovely to hear from you. I usually point, shoot and hope - I throw lots of photos away.
endment - Wasn't this fun? I was lucky to get the shot and very pleased.
thanks, daniel!
robin andrea - I didn't realize at first what was going on. The little grey head poked up from behind the wall first and I didn't even recognize the bird. Then along came dad to get the good stuff for him.
I retired from the University of Arizona, where I coordinated distance learning. New enthusiasms include learning about digital photography and photoprocessing, archaeology, theatre, and observing the natural world around me.

What a precious shot! Cute! I don't think I've ever seen young woodpeckers either.

Better and still better!
These are real treasures - great to be able to see this but even better to capture the feeding in a photo! Wonderful
Totally cute!
What a beautiful moment. I love how he is showing the young one where the good food is! Just beautiful, Pam.
