From a Bowen Island Garden ...

Within the quietness of a lull in visitors' absence,
appears the peony flower!

It's so lovely to see a flower at this time of the year. It's been very gray here, and not much color.

Thank you, endment. I'm particularly fond of Basho, Buson and Issa.

ra - We still have some golden wildflowers and red salvia, but the peony was from a summer garden in BC. I envy you your grey and your snow.

Pam! Where is this Bowen Island Garden? Seriously, Bowen is a family name of mine.

peacechick mary - Bowen Island is west of Vancouver, accessible by ferry from Horseshoe Bay. We have friends who live there and the photo was taken in their garden last June.
