Winter Memories in Ridgefield - II

And then there was the downside of a heavy snowfall, like trying to hang out the laundry when the snow was up to my waist, and, of course ...

But I still miss it.

Looks like January or February here. We haven't had any snow stay on the ground yet this year but I do enjoy the fresh snow when it comes - The thing I don't like about winter is the ice - Now that really changes my thinking about winter...

endment - Ice can indeed be perilous on pathways and roads. It's pretty good on water, though. Our landlord used to take his tractor out to scrape the pond and we'd enjoy lovely evenings skating with neighbours, warming ourselves at a warm lakeside fire with cocoa and hot cider.

It might as well be snowing here - it's a cool summer we're having ... I've just lit the fire!

Pam... These pics really bring back some memories of northeastern Utah in the winter. ;-)

When everything turns white, even a slightest break in the landscape stands out, like those rear lights that look like eyes peeping out from under the white blanket.

Hi Pam,
I am doing some research for a potential move to Tucson and came acroos your blog in a search "does it ever snow in Tucson?" (nice blog it is, too!)
So...I guess it does snow in Tucson!
